Pipe labelling compressed air

According to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulation AFS 2023:11, compressed air is classified as a hazardous chemical product when the pressure exceeds 2 bar. Therefore, pipes and containers must be labelled with the GHS4 symbol for gas under pressure, in accordance with current regulations. Here you can find different ways to label compressed air for pipe labelling.

Different ways of labelling compressed air

There are several ways to effectively create pipe labelling for compressed air. The choice of solution affects both clarity and durability.

Decals

Decals are easy to install and are particularly suitable for smaller pipes in clean environments. Each decal has arrowheads at both ends, so you can remove the one pointing the wrong way or keep both for labelling ring-fed systems. The decals are available in materials for indoor use, outdoor environments and more demanding conditions, including hot pipes.

Tape on a roll

Flo-Code pipe marking tape provides a clear colour marking around the entire pipe and can easily be supplemented with, for example, GHS marking. The tape is designed with every other arrow upside down, allowing the same roll to be used regardless of flow direction. Available in different materials for indoor and outdoor use and for harsher environments.

Pilskyltar

Arrow signs are a good option for hoses and smaller pipes where extra clarity is needed. They are made of durable plastic and have arrowheads at both ends. Cut off the arrow pointing in the wrong direction and mount the sign easily with cable ties.

Decal for compressed air tank

Even compressed air tanks need to be clearly labelled. Our compressed air tank decals are easy to apply and provide clear labelling directly on the surface. The standard size is 300 x 210 mm.
